Hi - I'm looking to replace my aged Minolta 35mm slr with a dslr. I've been looking around and I think that the Canon 600D/Rebel T3i is probably going to do for me.
I would prefer new. I can get the above camera body only £336 - with a Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS II lens for £400 or with a Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS II lens & Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III lens for £480
Is this a good price? Would I be better off going body only and get some better lenses? If so, which ones? What other cameras should I consider at this price point?
I'm not interested in video capabilities at all. I enjoy landscape, architecture and macro photography - portrait photography do nothing for me. It would be nice to have a point and click capability too.
I don't really have a set budget, but it's around the £500 mark (excluding bags/tripods etc) but this is flexible for the right kit.
Any help would really be appropriated
