Sometimes my pc just reboots for no reason at all!! What could be causing this? See the spec in my sig. Here are the Voltages:

12v = 11.77
5v = 4.81
3.3v = 3.24
V Core = 1.39

Do they look ok? Could it be the PSU? Any help would be superb. Ta

come to think of it i had the problem cuz i updated the graphics drivers. I sorted it by useing the drivers that came with the cd cuz they was the most stable. The other thing was use the omega drivers for ati they was really good. For nvidia i use the forceware drivers.

Well, could be the northbridge chip!! I replaced the fan on it for a Zalman Heatsink and when i felt it, it was boiling!! I have put the original fan back now. See what happens now.

are u using any temp monitoring software and that would let you find out how high it is reaching and would tell you for sure if that is the problem, i would suggest mbm5 as it supports most things or whatever came with the board.

I am using ASUS Probe but that did not give me any warning sounds. The pc just went off!! I am assuming, at the moment, that it was because i slapped a Zalman Heatsink on the chipset. I have now replaced the stock fan. See what happens!!

Any other views would be welcome. Ta

Hi, I would see if I could get a multi meter to check the voltages as the sensors are sometimes off and cause worry when there is no need.

My Rig 12v reads as 11.71v idle in windows, and sometime drop to 11.45v on load. Thought this was low, but machine was stable so I used a multi-meter and my 12v voltage was 12.03v and 11.84v on load.

I don't think it is the Voltages that is causing the problem. I will wait to see if replacing the stock fan on the chipset solves the problem first.

Still getting the problem!!! The temps are great, 31 CPU Mobo 35. I do have an old 10g In the pc at the mo but that was to replace a faulty one. Not sure if the 10g is causing the problem now!! Any ideas?
