Please help - Zalman tubing for Reserator 1

Is this hose fitting - EK 1/2" Hose fitting - compatible with the tubing on Zalman Reserator 1?

No.

Zalman Res. uses 8mm i/d tubing , like this :

Measure it to make sure.

You can use 3/8th tubing with all the Reserator stuff - that may with hotwater and force fit on 1/2 barbs.

but if using 3/8 on zalman blocks/quick cuppling make sure you use good clips

You can just about use a 3/8 barb with the zalman tubing (but better to buy new imho)
leave end of zalman tube in very hot water and with lots of brut force it will just fit - I just tried, but make sure to haven't twisted the tubing as once on it's not going anywhere (with or without clips)

You can also use new 3/8 tubing with zalman blocks.

I got a 1-2c temp drop by using 3/8 tubing throughout (~9.5mm ID) that the Zalman stuff (8mm ID) all other hardware the same.
I also go a 2c drop by using a swiftech apogee GT and Feser1 - at 7x the price.

So best bang for buck upgrade is new 3/8 tubing.

if buying 3/8 ID 5/8 OD tubing you'll need some new clips

I think the res1 comes with two large and 4 small ones.
the two large will fix 5/8 OD tubing the 4 small will not.

get 4 or 6 of these
