Hi there,

Need some advice, have just purchased from OC a Gainwood 7600GT which has go into my machine and everything seems fine, apart from any text on the screen is slightly out of focus, i have tried everything i know and it dosent seem to sharpen up, its driving me mad, and giving me a slight headache. I am sure it may be something silly because i have played Call of Duty tonight and everything worked great.

Any suggetions will be greatly recieved!!!!

Thanks in advance

Sounds more like something to do with windows settings.

I assume CoD looked ok and wasn't blurred? if so, its not your monitor.

i had this problem when i got my gfx cards...

check refresh rate and latest drivers..

worked for me

What size monitor? LCD or CRT? What resolution have you got the card set at? Refresh rate?. If you have the card resolution set at anything except the monitors native resolution you will lose clarity on text.

Hi Kevlon,

My monitor is 19" LCD and the res is 1280 x 800, and refresh rate is 72 hertz, i have played around with these and this seems to be the best configration, but the text is not great. Call of Duty plays perfect? This is really driving me mad!!!!!

Switch off ClearType as it blurs the edges of your screen fonts:

1) Right click on the desktop and click "Properties"
2) Click on the "Appearance" tab
3) Click "Effects"
4) Uncheck "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts:"
5) Click "OK" then "OK"

I'd also load up a large document with plenty of text (black on white) and hit the auto adjust button on your monitor afterwards

Thanks to you all,

Now i am seeing all the text as i should, Thanks again for all the advice. I can recommend the Gainwood 7600GT, for the price its a bargain!!!!
