Please help

Mind you though the pic in the second link is a P5B-Deluxe but the one included in the combo is actually a vanilla P5B.

*EDIT* just noticed both pics are the same

3-3 fantastic. Well done people :D

They are pretty much as good as each other, both overclock well, both have SATA, USB ports, is there anything in particular you need from a mobo?

I say DS3!

...as you can probably tell, it really doesn't matter much which one :p They're as good as each other really!

Pro for gigabyte - better tech support!

Hmm, well my BFG 680i hasn't broken down yet. OCuk sell loads of DS3s. The P5B is widely regarded as good, and Asus make great motherboards. Take your pick ;)

I can personally recommend my 680i, but it is certainly overpriced compared to the ones in those bundles.

thanks..... ;) What CPU & RAM(2GB) will go with 680i

CPU - e6600, that's what I got.

RAM - Pretty much any. If you're not planning on overclock the RAM (and you can leave it at stock and overclock the CPU independently with this board) then the cheapest. I have OCZ Plat Rev 2, which happens to be one of the cheapest at the moment. For overclocking, you want to go for RAM with Micron chips in, and these are Crucial 10th Anniversary, Cellshock and Team group RAM.
