Hey guys, I went ahead and bought the watercooling! Managed to get it all set up fine. Would firstly like to thank those who helped me in choosing parts etc. Including ION and Fornow.

OK so, got it all setup, temp. on the CPU on idle is 30 degrees. So everything is working fine there, overclocked it to 3.6 Ghz, sorted, pushed to 3.8 and it fails Orthos. So I tried to figure out what was wrong as at this point, temps were at 47 degrees on load. I noticed that in order to push the CPU to 3.8, I had to up my FSB just enough that I had to overclock the RAM as I can only lower it's multiplier a certain amount. The RAM is only getting pushed to 906 Mhz when it's 800 MHz rated :/ I slackened the timings from Cas4 to Cas5, upped the volts etc. Just won't run stable. Anyway, ran Memtest, memory's fine. Temperatures are fine. Surely it can't be a bust CPU otherwise it wouldn't matter what clock it's at it wouldn't pass Orthos either way?

If you're wondering, my signature was when I first got this hardware, about 9 months ago and that overclock was stable then, I took it off about 4 months ago as I rarely used the system so there was no need, just got this w.c to get the last good performance before an upgrade but it looks like it'll be money wasted :(

Just to clarify, it's the latest BIOS etc. There is a setting where I could turn up the CPU mult. to 9.5 which would push the CPU to 3.8 whilst keeping the memory at stock, but for somereason the finetune clocking (which is the option to add half to the multiplier) doesn't save  I turn it to 9.5, save it and boot but CPUz, Orthos and all others say it's still at 9x multi.

Tbh, this isn't the biggest deal in the world as I was hoping to get to around 4 Ghz on water and even if the half multi did work, that wouldn't get me any further to that goal :(

Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated =D

Pushing 1.35 on BIOS Vcore but I'm clearly getting a raping Vdroop as it's only punching out 1.29 according to CPUZ.

I used to put roughly 1.3 --> 1.35 through it before. I thought it might be something like that too, but truth be told, whilst I used that overclock once or twice for benchmarking, it was only used for about an hour or so tops when I benchmarked it and from then on would only use 3.4 --> 3.7 Ghz for gaming around 4-5 hours a week. When I said I took that overclock off, I meant, I stopped overclocking full stop. Could there still have been damage from that one or two times overclocking to 3.9? Temp's never got past 60 or so on the Processor, I was held back by NB temps. Cheers for your help Ben
