I thought I had this OC stuff sussed - as I have been doing it, on and off, for many, many years.............
[my current E6850 is running quite happily at 3.6 and goes a fair bit higher]
I am now making a machine for my parents.
I've bought all the kit including an E5200 and a GA-EP43-ds3.
So I build it and everything is hunky-dory.
I thought I would play a bit........................................
The BIOS says the bus speed is 266 and the multipler is 10 plus an addon 0.5.
Whenever I have built a PC the bus and multipliers are always initially the default. The MB seemed unopened. The CPU box was a bit damaged, but sealed.
I thought these cpu's were 200x12.5 not 266x10.5???????

When I set the multipler to 12 [+0.5] it boots fine and shows the 3.3 speed...
Anyone please help this old git?
