Hi All,

I want to upgrade my monitor to 24" or 28".

I have a budget of £200 - £300 max

Uses will be Gaming primarily and general usage, will NOT be used for HD Films I have a mahoosive Bravia for that job :-)

My Gfx card is the 2gig 4890, so the panel must be ideally HDMI.

I have had a Samsung 215TW for some time now which has never given me any issues.

So, please can you suggest a gaming monitor that takes into conisderation my parameters above.

On anaother note i have seen the Hans G 28" for reasonable money - is it all size and no quality with this panel ? Reviews seems mixed. ?!?!?!

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide !

Ta.

Thanks for the response, the problem I have is the 2433BW does not have HDMI and the T240HD has freeview that I will never use so why pay for features I dont want or need ?

Thanks Cmndr,

So are we saying that DVI gives as good a picture as HDMI ? If so then yes it does open the monitor choices. I dont see a point spending £250 on the 22" and playing in the same res as I am now, with respect to your other choicem, wont I get issues at the 1080 res with games ? .i.e needing res hacks ?

Fair enough mate - just obviosuly showing my lack of knowledge in this space.

That being said if I was set on getting a 24" monitor which one would you go for ?

Thanks again for your detailed overview and links to further knowledge.

I'd get a 2nd hand DELL 2407WFP any day for a decent gaming monitor under £300. Definately your best bet. Don't be detered by it being 2nd hand. As long as it works with no dead pixels. pref warranty left. You'll love it!

Heard about these - dont I have to worry about the Revison number or build date / or something like that ?

@ Ivan - Way over my budget but thanks for replying pal.
