PLEASE HELP!

No sound!!

I took my PC in to the local shop to get it wiped clean.

Got it back and i have no sound, ive tried everything in settings i.e mute, volume etc etc

i rang the guys at the shop, he said oh right yes just bring it back i know what ti do!

but its miles away and the pc weighs a tonne


what else can it be, a driver of some sort? all the connectors are in place

theres a few people work there, and we found them quite arrogant, plus they messed us about.

it must be something quite simple, surly

Oh theres no sound card, i use it only for browsing, its just IBM Netvista, with intel pentium 4, there is literally nothing on it, it was fine before it was wiped, i need sound - i would ring them but i think i left it too long, i picked it up 4 weeks ago.

what could it be? the volume is on full, and why would the arrogant guy at the shop say "oh i know what it is, just fetch it back"??
