hey guys making a pc with the following spec

z68 ud3 gigabyte mobo
i7 2600k
5830 hd radeon
4gb vengancy ram

and m4 ssd

will a Cooler Master GX 550W Power Supply be enough? i want to overclock it please help

Go for that instead. It's a better brand, more wattage and the same price.

May I first ask, what you will be using your PC for and what is your total budget? Also, do you need the full tower or are you just upgrading the key components you list in your first post?

When you mention the GX 550W PSU, is that one you already have or one you are considering buying?

i bascially have that psu as part of a combo and wish to buy the other parts. except the motherboard which i have but i am worried that my psu wont power them or would it be enough?. thanks for the replys and all the help

If you already have that PSU then it should be fine, if you haven't bought it yet go for the OCZ one I linked.

And will easily power that and have room to spare

The fact its part of a bundle which saves money only makes it sweeter

Yep,

K CPU = check

P67/Z68 motherboard = check

Just increase the multiplier and dont touch the Vcore, the PSU will be fine.

Yup, should be fine. I used a PSU calculator with two 6950s in crossfire and a i5 2500k overclocked to 4.8Ghz and it recommended a 550w PSU so your system will be fine since it will draw nowhere near as much power being only a single 5830. Hope we vanquished your fears .
