Please help

Mate has a Dell Inspiron 6400 and the wireless works for 5mins and then goes off! Tried it in my house and the same thing happens!

Re-installed drivers, nothing. Formatted, nothing.

What wireless card does it take as i cant find the make / model of the wireless card!! Help

It takes a PCI Express Mini Card and there are lots to choose.

You can view the instructions for changing it in the owners manual, page 121:

The E1505 has two antennas so you could go for the same as you have currently which is likely to be the Intel 3945ABG or you could go for a newer wireless card such as the Intel WiFi Link 5100 which looks like this:

There are others such as the Intel WiFi Link 5300 but it requires three antennas which can work with only two but for best performance you would need to fit an additional antenna.
