I am buying a
Gigabyte Z87X-UD4H Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard

and a i7 4770k

I was thinking of putting in 32 GB of
Corsair Dominator PLATINUM 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit with DHX Pro Connector (CMD16GX3M2A1600C9)

The machine will be multi use from gaming to boring work stuff and from time to time will host the odd VM machine.

I have 3 questions

1) Is this memory decent enough?
2) I want to overclock the CPU, will this memory be ok and simple to do?
3) I know 32gb is over kill but I have the budget, however realistically does 32GB make a lot of difference from 16GB?

Thanks

yes its very good ram but not sure its worth the premium over 'normal' ram. It going to be roughly £400 for 32 gig.

This would do as well and would be £100 cheaper and would overclock should you want to in the future.

The ram I linked to would be better with overclocks.

Not running VM's myself which I would guess need a few gig of ram unless your doing that regularly 32 will be overkill and just wasted.

When you say boring work stuff unless your a graphic artist etc I cant see you using the 16 gig let a lone 32.
