but you need choose a different motherboard and ddr2 ram

Well the reason for the new system is to play Enemy territory:Quake Wars (when it coimes out). So do u think it will run games such as that as smooth with the cheaper ram that u mentioned ?
btw what is the ram u said to get equal to if it was just DDR ?

Looks good.

I'd get a different 965 board, in order to overclock that CPU to the max. A DS3, P5B or P5N-E would be better choices than the Intel board. A Gigabyte S3 would also be a good choice if you are on a very tight budget - essentially the same as the DS3. :)
