Hi,

Specs are :

BFG OC 8800GT 512MB
MSI K9NGM2 Mainboard
AMD X2 5000+ Black Edition @ 2.6Ghz
OCZ StealthXStream 600W PSU
2GB GeiL DDR2 800Mhz RAM (2x1GB)
XP Home
ZalmanCNP9000

Anyway, the card was operating fine during the three days after it was input to my rig ( at a LAN event by a mate ).

When i got home and re-assembled / booted, again it was fine. Then i got black screen on my monitor and 'No Signal'.

I would try to cold boot, and the GT's fan would fly at 100% but no signal to the monitor.

After numerous re-seatings and re-connecting the card would boot again, then after a few days or so, the same problem, however it would be fine, i'd shut down, then it wouldnt re-boot.

This wasn't everytime, just sometimes, that's whats bugging me, there seems to be no SET cause and or solution, just luck of the draw.

Troubleshooting i've done / potential causes:

Temperatures: Rivatuner has fan at 45% in windows, 75% while gaming. idles at 43 degrees, rises to max 57.

Weight of card pulling pins out of slot: Have had the PC on it's side for last two weeks, still the problem occurs.

Drivers: All drivers etc are upto date, using 169.09 beta's atm, but has happened with many different drivers.

Disabled O/B Graphics: And also set PCI-E -> PCI in bios priority on boot.

Any ideas whatsoever as to why this is happening?

Have tried resetting CMOS, and it obviously isn't a bios issue as the card does work (most of the time) as opposed to reports of people who cant get a post whatsoever.

It's now just not booting at all and i've been re-seating constantly for like 4 hours lol.

Please help.

Not really mate.

It seems odd though as the MB is new, swapped it because my old ASUS M2V was giving error beeps with the card.

The PSU is also new.
