Hey guys,

Heres the story...i have an AMD 4600+ but i have been tryin to overclock it. However when i get to the 2.60Ghz mark the whole system dies, get a big blue screen and reboots. Sometimes i make it into windows and most times it crashes when you get the XP loading screen. My entire system configuration is below. Any help in any shape or form would be massively appreciated!

Motherboard:Sapphire PURE Advantage CrossFire
Processor:AMD 4600+
RAM: 2GB OCZ PC3200 Platinum
HDD: 150GB Raptor X
Sound: X-Fi Fatal1ty
Graphics: Dual X850 in CrossFire mode
PSU: 580w Hyper Type R
Cooling:Zalman Fatal1ty CPU Cooler (Air)

I also have zalman fatal1ty coolers of the graphics cards, 4 80mm Fans and a 120mm fan on case.

Cooling is no issue the processor is running at 23 degrees, according to BIOS and 2.6 is not a big jump for this CPU, i mean i see the 3800+ running at 2.5Ghz wow!

Anyway Guys,

Thanks for all your help in advance, its greatly appreciated.

Matt

none of that worked or im doing it wrong  has anybody clocked a 4600+ before? if ya have could u give me a few values please??

Cheers guys.

Yea i tried everything u guys have said, i can get 2590mhz thats unstable, maybe my board sucks for oc'ing (see first post), i mean theres a guy that got a 4800+ to 3.2, exactly same core as mine!! copuld also be the fact ive never done this before. I reduced cores to 2.5, that seems stable....
