Hey,

Just noticed something very odd with both my netbook and my dad's laptop! After installing the latest Synaptics drivers for Vista, you get all the nifty features like touch scrolling, tap zones etc. However the driver seems to "kill" the bottom strip of the touchpad (where you tap to horizontal scroll), and all *vertical* movement is not registered.

Give it a go by keeping your finger along the bottom of the pad and making tiny circles - the pointer only moves left and right! On my dad's laptop this isn't an issue, but my netbook touchpad is tiny and this glitch kills the responsiveness!

I've tried removing the horizontal scroll zone, and disabling touch scrolling to no effect :( Is there any way around this?!

Cheers,

Suman

strange. i have the up to date xp driver on my netbook with no problems with either scrolling zones. hmmm

what netbook is it you have?

not sure what the problem is man.. appart from the obvious "its vista", try contacting your netbook manufacturer :)

are you sure it worked before ? my netbook has always been like that. assumed it was just because it was small and cheap. my macbook one isnt much better either. only will go up/down a tiny bit compared to left/right
