lol in a total noob...

i just bought the dfi ut d mobo..

and i have quite an old psu! (thermaltake butterfly) its a 20 pin atx

the mobo has 24pins on the bord???

is this compatable?? do i need a new psu??

but you can work some 24 pin mobo's with a 20pin psu. My asus sli board worked fine with an old 400w 20pin psu while the main one was away being rma'd

lol.. indeed spent quite abit on parts this week.. i just seem to have bad look..

when my old barton core died.. i had to rig up a pc quick so i had been runing a retro.. p3 500mhz 128mg ram 4.3g hdd..

you can run a 24 pin mobo with a 20 pin connector, you can also buy converters. Although i think its DFI who don't recommend anything other than an authentic 24 pin connector
