Please Recommend me a bundle?

Hi guys I am planning to upgrade 3 parts of my pc :p , the pc i currently have is in sig. I am planning this for pc gaming :cool:

I basically want to get a new CPU (Intel Core 2 DUO LGA775 E6600 2.40GHz Retail)

I am just a little stuck on the motherboard and memory....i dont plan to overclock immediatly but u never know... (also what is the diff between c4 and c5 memory)

are these bundles any good? or could any of you kind ocuk peeps spec me a bundle pls :o

You've got a perfectly good PC...are any of your games unplayable?
 
Perfectly good is a bit strong.

Personally, I would say more GPU power would be a good plan, and a 2GB kit.

Get the 8800 GTS 320MB card, and a 2GB DDR ram kit. That should make games perfectly fine.

If you prefer, spend less and get an X1950 Pro COnnect 3d card. About half the speed as the 8800GTS, but about half the price (about 120 compared to 200).

Depends on the resolution you play at. If possible, crank your clock speed a bit higher on the X2.
 
hi guys im sorry my sig was outdated :(

I have 2 gigs ram, x1950xtx gfx....I basically getting ready for stalker....i dont think i NEED an upgrade but its more of a want? what do you guys think will make games better for me.......fps games work like a charm, but games with graphics like oblivion (stalker same?) requires more cpu right??

Don't waste your money on a upgrade. If you do want to spend it, spend it on something you haven't got, like a nice stereo or multi-channel system.

Your PC is fine

My 2 pence, it depends on what you can do with your "old" stuff.

Get an X2 CPU now if you want one, they will be harder to get every week by the looks of things.

As for the GPU, a better one WILL help in something like Oblivion. Sure, it is partially CPU limited, but also GPU as well. Take a look HERE to see a review, showing your GPU and an 8800 GTS 320MB.

If I were you, see if you can sell your current GPU for 130 or so pounds, then upgrade to the 8800 GTS. if you cant sell your current Video card, I wouldn't bother.
 
hmm just noticed this is it an anomaly that the x1950 comes 2nd !!!

That looks odd, FEAR flies on my system. True I only game at 1280 x 1024, but I have max AA and max AF, full detail, and am getting minimum fps of 58! (Max 200+)
