Please recommend me a notepad editor that shows rows, etc (like excel)

Please help me? I have been told that there was software called Editor 99.

None of the links seem to work for it as I bet its too old ....

Anyone have any ideas?

Not sur ewhat you mean exactly, but if it is line numbers you're after then this one does it and a lot more besides:

Just installed Notepad++ and it does indeed colour rows. So you select one and the whole row is shaded for you.

No probs. Re-installing Notepad++ made me realise how crap Notepad is and that I should use Notepad++ full time.
