Please recommend me some FPSs

Not even in the same league lol.
Planetside 2 offers far more than just huge gun fights. The main thing holding it back from being more popular is that you need a good PC to play it optimally.
I haven't seen a game like Planetside 2 for years where people actually work together on a public server. Team play rarely exists on Battlefield unless you organise squads/games with friends or clans etc.
Must have changed a lot since the last time I played it then.
lol yea I was about to say! last time I went on there solo it was just like any other game regarding co-op online playing xD fair play it is a bit more structured that say the likes of cod and bf but still.... really does help if you're going into the game with a group of mates already gathered than trying to filter through the random squads, platoons, whatevers to find ones where people are working well. but yea, when ever I joined random squads they were mostly spread out and in different areas to eachother....good team work xD
also yea.. pretty PC intensive. not been on it for about half a year so things might be better
oh if ya not played it, FarCry 3 is worth a shout for the single player. absolutely loved it, sucked me right in! quite cool with the item unlocks/ability level ups via side missions, but they are pretty damn fun and not too many of them so helps as you go along with the story
Good SP modern warfare FPS:
-Call of Duty Modern Warfare series (duh!)
-Far Cry series
-Medal of Honor 2010
-Crysis series (although a bit futuristic in places)
-Homefront
-Frontlines Fuel of War (this is kinda like a Battlefield clone, but it does campaigns better)
-FEAR (dunno if this counts as it isn't modern warfare in the traditional sense but does contain good weaponry and combat AI)
-Rainbow Six Vegas
People will probably laugh their heads off at this but I actually thought Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising was pretty good in places if you don't go into it expecting a traditional OpFlash/ArmA type game. I just love squad FPS where you can command AI teammates, and it has some great little touches like being able to underarm grenades (seriously, I get so frustrated in 90% of FPS where something as simple as lobbing a grenade through a dooway 15 yards away without having it bounce back and end up at your feet!)

Me too! It's so annoying. Like you're supposed to be this uber elite commando but you can't throw a grenade 10 yards! It was like old games with awful ladders, your super trooper can kill all the bad guys but he can't quite make it up a ladder without falling off.

Nowhere near as bad as being this badass killing machine who gets stopped in his tracks by a little rock or a tiny fence.
