Please Recommend - Need a small GPU for Left for Dead

Hi all,

I have a Zotac 9300 itx and the onboard cant quite cut games like Left for dead. I need a card which is really thin and less than 8 inchs long so it will fit in my case. Hopefully one that also runs quite cool.

Please recommend.

Actually you would be best off finding a used 8800GT

Would a GeForce GT 220 be much better than the onboard 9300?

I think the the hd 5770 is just a shade over 8" and definitely runs cool.
Performance is somewhere between a 4870 and 4890, plenty for L4D.

the 220 GT is worse than the 4670.

L4D is using source engine, so EASILY run.. i'd go for anything low mate, maybe look at 8600gts and stuff. should be enough power for that game, and SHOULD be smaller then its successors due to the performance difference. look it up. should be extremely cheap, cause all the modern cards i've seen are bricks

The 5750 is 7 inchs, and is probably the fastest card that is less than 8.

Nvidia GT240 will also tick all the boxs of been cool, quiet and short enough.

Found a a second hand slim 9800 GT Eco so im probably gonna go for that.

no the 5770 does sit between a 4870 and a 4890 check out the latest issue of custum pc for a review.
