Looking for an office monitor. Must have good colour reproduction (for designing marketing material to print). Must be large. (either UW or 4K, not sure which is best). and general comfortable viewing and usage.

To a great extent it's the resolution that matters. You can't get anymore on 32" 4K screen than you can on a a 27" 4K screen, it'll just be bigger.

I went from 24" 1920x1200 to 27" 2560x1440 QHD (Dell U2715H) because it gave me a useful increase in screen real estate without spending a fortune. It also fits in well with the remaining two 24" I'm still using.

How about Dell's 8K monitor? They're down to about £2.8K (ex. VAT) now.

Cant decide on VA vs IPS. IPS apparently has better colour ACCURACY. Whereas overall in a brightly lit office environment a VA panel will be more vibrant (stronger colours and better blacks) and easier to work with.

+1 for the U2715H

Dot pitch on 32" 4K screens is too small for me, so went for 32" 2560x1440 screens which have an almost identical dot pitch to the common 24" 1080p screens.

I swapped from 4 screens at work (2x1080p and 2x 1280x1024) to 2x Iiyama Prolite XB327OQS and haven't looked back.

£260 seemed like a bargain when I bought them a few months ago

No issues with using an IPS panel in normal office lighting, and IPS will have less colour shift/better viewing angles which can be useful either in multi monitor setups or when viewing at off-angles e.g. showing people things on your screen

Well I will know when it's infront of me. If it's no good I will return it.
Good for the money is good enough for me. Wages getting paid come first.

Just an update. Had this monitor for a week now and it's absolutely brilliant. Such a nice picture. Colours are great. Blacks are black and no back-light bleed. 4k, 32" IPS for £250. I am well chuffed! Will be buying one for at home for sure.
