Please review an article...

I have started to write up a small general article based on questions I get asked. The point of it will be to post on my own website and at work as general advice.
I do not want it to be too technical.
I would be grateful if you can have a look and comment on it for errors or omissions or suggestions on extra points to add. It is a work in progress but feedback would be helpful!!

Looks good to me, although I'd stick in a few headings and justify the text, but what you've written looks fine

Seems fine to me too. I take you are assuming that people reading it have a certain level of photography knowledge (aperture, shutter speed etc)?

For ease of navigation you should probably include bookmarks, if you're using something like Open Office to write it just use the Headings provided and they'll automatically convert to bookmarks.

Looks good to me, however some form of separation of text (headings) would be good, walls of text are a little daunting. Also maybe a photo or two would be good.

That PDF version is a really good idea actually, I may do that for my tutorials too, any free ways to convert a word/blog document to PDF?

Also how about having a tutorial thread (or within the sticky already up there) where we cam post and link to our tutorials (written by us not outside sources). Might be nice to have a load of tutorials written by our very own?

I will certainly look at the layout once finalised. I was really just checking the content at this stage

I am assuming a certain understanding of photography but I had also put links to wikipedia articles which I hoped would explain aperture etc for those who needed more understanding.
Part of intention was to try and get people to experiment with other settings. I know several who persist with the 'auto' mode.

For some reason the links (in blue) seem not to work in the pdf at the moment!

I used an app called cute pdf to create the document. It just works as a printer. We use it a lot at work and seems OK - except maybe for the links issue I just noticed!!
