Hi, for my ICT coursework i had to design a number of products for a school open day.

Part of the coursework is to get people to review my work so ive set up a little website so i can get reviews from people.

I would be ever so greatful if you could give a short review for each piece of work ive done.

If you can review my work please use the template ive made. I will be ever so greatful.

From your DOB you are doing your GCSEs? Just so I understand the level of work.

A few quick pointers generally:

Spelling/grammatical errors are bad, you have "High Acorn School" and "There are going to many".. i imagine those should be "Acorn High School" and "There are going to BE many".

Why do all your final designs have blue and yellow on grey? They dont really work well together, and the yellow is hard to read.

It looks like you drew your Acorn free hand with a brush, which might be the effect you are going for.. but it could be much better done in a vector. (At GCSE level an IT teacher probably doesnt know anything about vectorised graphics, so if you do try it you will have to explain quite significantly what it is you have done).

Your prototype wrist band looks much better than your final one. The final one is too embossed, tone it down slightly.

As for the logos, they didnt make much sense to me.. 3 come to the fair, and then one for Acorn High School?.. what happened to the fair?

Theres some food for thought for you! :) Good work though, what program are you using?

My pleasure. To explain my Acorn vector point, im talking about the pen tool in Photoshop to draw the acorn shape. You may be best drawing the acorn all in black and overlaying white shapes to create the detail. But this may be a bit overkill for GCSE. Still, its an important tool, so get reading some tutorials.

Yeah thanks, will look at some tutorials.

I think it may be an overkill though as there are people with work not as good as mine getting A* and you have only seen the designs. Ive gone into detail annotating it and actualyl putting the designs in a real situation. For example i have put the banners outside the school entrance and put the digital poster on an actual screen, animated it and saved it as a gif..

Thanks.
