5th gear sucks, we all know this.

Not that these petitions come to any good but i've signed this one since i hate the current format so much, its not that i want 5th gear off the air its the fact that if they actually took the time and changed the format / presenters it could be an ok program.

Sucks in comparison but still worth watching. They over use the lens filter I think. :rolleyes:

Compared to??? Top Gear use filters and effects for every shot, it's just continuous fades, fish-eyes and filters. Maybe you only see them on 5th Gear because they use them, then flipping to without.

5th Gear isn't great, but it does tell you some relevant detail about the cars they test. Top Gear is an entertainment show that happens to use cars. Top Gear is top, but it's it's just car p0rn and laughs rather than a review show.

Not signed. I think its getting a lot better as it goes on anyway (yes I agree it started this series poorly). At least its got proper drivers on rather than a bunch of journalists plus a (possible) racing driver who never actually speaks about the car on test.

They are targetted at different audiences. Top Gear is a good entertainment program with a bunch of fake (but fun) challenges. 5th Gear actually aims to road test cars. The recent trend towards "entertainment" on 5th Gear has gone down like a lead balloon, but I think they have realised that and have slowly been moving back to concentrating on the cars.

I dont really care if they actually test road cars or not, the overall show is crap to watch!

Whats does Tim Lovejoy actually do on the show? I cant find any real reason for him to be on there...
