Good morning,

I've been asked to build a new PC for a friend, he want to spend £700-£800, doesnt need monitor, keyboard or mouse. Just the system and OS (WIN764bit)

Good storgae, SSD not a major need but if one can fit in budget he will take one.

Main uses are lite gaming, media watching may be used along with large TV, blu-ray player if possible. More PC than HTPC as far as case and looks go. Its more of an option to explore.

I've not built a PC for a couple of years so out of touch in whats hot an whats not.

Thanks for your help.

Ok so i missed the target budget and no SSD, but you get a relatively balanced rig that will handle most things well, if your playing on a TV i'm assuming your going 1080P so the 1Gb vram will be ok, but if you have a higher def monitor then get a 2Gb one for £30 more.

If £800 is the hard limit leave the blueray for now and add it later, you can rip his OS disk onto a USB and install it from that and add the drive after the next pay day.

Thanks guys, Solid builds (what do I know).

Im hoping he has already got an OS, I left it on as including it in the build wont give and headaches later.

Very impressed with the storage options and HDD size not to mention being able to get a 2GB graphics card in there.

Thanks again, I'll see what he thinks mainly the OS and case. If the OS isn't an issue may be some more could be spent on the looks as the insides look great.
