Please spec a Camera Newb a 2nd Hand <£100 camera

I am after an all-round compact digital camera to take away travelling with me, so will be taking both in/out door shots, Zoomed shots and the odd video.

I would like to buy 2nd hand to get the best value for money. My friend has a Sony DSC-T1 which would be suitable for my needs for example (these can be picked up for under £100 from ebay)

Any help is greatly appreciated. Please suggest away

Also like the look of the Casio Exilim S500 but this maybe a little over my budget

leaning towards the Casio Exilim Z700 or Z750 due to the large LCD's extended battery life and nice looks
