Please spec a PSU for my needs?

Hi all,

just realised my PSU is 6.5 years old now! So I am interested in buying a new one.

I am running an i7 5820k, Nvidia Zotac amp extreme 1080TI, Asus x-99s motherboard.

I have ran a Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 750W V2 High Performance '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply for the last 6.5 years and 750w seemed to be enough but should I at this point look to future proof as I do want some component upgrades within the next year or two.

Would 850-1000w be a good spec? I'd like fully modular and roughly £150ish.

Can anybody please help?

850W will be more than enough even if you were to upgrade other components you'll be well under 850

Corsair RM850 currently at £95 with 10 year manufacturers warranty would be on my list

My basket at Overclockers UK:

1 x Corsair RM Series RM850 850W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply (CP-9020196-UK)= £94.99

Total: £103.69 (includes shipping: £8.70)

This one is what I'd go for but others would choose different.. However you could save money and get less Watt, you'd still be safe and have enough power

You can't really go wrong with the revised RM series being suggested here. Built by CWT it's Gold rated, fully modular with good quality cables, has a single 12v rail of 849.6w and has a 10 year warranty.
