HI all!

Been a long time...current PC that was specc'd for me on here was around 2010 I think with a little update of new GPU in 2012. Been travelling for a year and returned to find the old thing won't boot up... Well that's perfect as it's the perfect excuse to buy all new shiny things ;)

Basically need the new rig to run new games at decent quality - does not have to be ultra high end. Would like it to be at least a few years future proof but I guess that goes without saying. Would prefer not to spend more than £900 but if going a little over makes a big difference that could be considered...

Thanks!

Sorry, forgot this as well...

Have these items which are reusable...

Item: WD 1TB 3.5" SATA-III Caviar Green Internal Hard Drive - 7200RPM 64MB Cache - Qty: 1
Item: Philips 221V2SB TFT LCD Full HD 22" DVI Monitor - Qty: 1
Item: Pioneer DVRS19LBK 24x DVD±RW DL & RAM with Labelflash SATA Optical Drive - Retail Box Black with Software - Qty: 1

And I bought a ezcool 650w PSU a bit before I left the UK a year ago...

Completely in the blind on current stuff and whether it is upgrading the stuff above. Obviously a SSD would be on the list...

Current GPU is MSI HD 7850 Twin Frozr III OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Cards

Thanks bud. The units powering up but Windows won't load. Anyway - I've started another thread about that in the relevant section. Bloody frustrating trying to sort my life out on this iPhone 4 I'm restricted to lol

Anyway - do you not think it's worth going for 16gb RAM? I take it the i7 is not really worth it over the i5.

Get 16gb of ram if you can afford it ram speed wont make a shred of difference in 99% of cases (and when it does it will be small) and any ddr4 ram is more than fast enough.

So how about this???

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £917.52
(includes shipping: £12.60)

I have switched out the PSU for a corsair 750 and gone for 16GB memory - kosher? Have I missed anything?

Also - do I need thermal compound? AND - can anyone recommend a wireless adaptor?

Sorry to be a pain but could anyone in the know possibly give a thumbs up or down on what I've suggested? Should I go for what hp7909 (thank you) suggested instead?

Really need to get this ordered ASAP and don't want to blunder due to the amount of cash I'm throwing at this! Thanks again...
