Please spec me a £500 base unit (for games)

I'm looking for a new base unit with Windows. It would need to be suitable for high spec games e.g. Far Cry 2.

Here you go. HDD should be plenty to store your games on. I included the 3rd party heatsink because the E5200 is a very good clocker.

This is similar to a spec I built for someone a few weeks ago. Handles Farcry 2 nicely at 1680x1050

Both of those look good, but I'd say shinester's is the one I'd go for. Cant really think of any way to improve it for similar money! Like he said, the 5200 is a great overclocker, should be able to get around 3.5GHz from it I think

Get Windows7 for now, as far as I can tell its now a better OS than Vista despite still being in its beta stage!!

Plus its free until August
