I like the Nuc specs. wanted at least a i3, but it is out of budget. Need to find one cheap if I can?

You can go a celeron NUC much cheaper than that but not the i3.

I was thinking of that. Wouldn't it be a lot slower?

celeron is dual core i think cant say where it is from but they are going for under £100 which is not bad considering all it needs is a ssd and ram os is optional

This thing would be great for my wife. Just mount the nuc behind a 24" monitor and she can then surf the web. We don't have a lot of room where she wants the pc, so this would be great if I can make one cheap and is at least fast a little for web browsing?

Would it be feasible to do a bit of desk drawer (if there's any) modding to place the parts inside? Could save a fair bit that way and desk mods are all the rage:
