Please spec me a laptop

Budget: Around £500 can be lower can be higher

i got a dell inspiron 1545 new for 300 with year warranty of some ebay seller. 15.6 screen.. nice laptop . you really want 17 screen? is it a desktop replacement?

widescreen is very usefull if you watch a lot of films , also net , gives you more page width

Its to replace a laptop, the owner has specified that they want a large screen, they currently only have a 13" screen.

17" is huge, I had one before going to a 14.1" and then to the 13.3" in my sig.

I wouldn't get a 17" if they want to carry it anywhere. Have they seen it in the flesh next to a 13"?

They have seen a 17" inch and defo want one. Ive seen the Samsung R710 with comes with - Dual Core T3400 2.16GHz, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 17 WXGA, 6 Cell, Webcam, Vista Home Premium. Its DDR3 ram as well so pretty new stuff. This can be had for just over £500 - what you think?
