Please spec me a mini PC for audio work, as silent as possible.
Initially I was thinking of going the laptop route, but I'm looking instead at a mini PC. I've looked online and there are a few vendors which sell mini PCs but I'm unsure of all the options and many of them don't give much info on how quiet the systems actually are. I found one which claimed to be completely silent, but the CPU was quite low spec, not much ram either. I want it to last 3-5 years if possible.
It doesn't necessarily need a high end sound card etc. Onboard will probably suffice, as it will be more for recording than editing / mixing. As beefy a CPU as possible while remaining as quiet as possible. A single SSD will suffice too, as I will use external HDDs for back up.
