Please spec me a NUC

Hey all after bit of advice please.Recently bought a smart tv for our bedroom. So the old LG plasma will be used for a conservatory TV The TV is only 720 which is fine and the pic for films in 720 look fine. we have 1080 in our main room and bedroom. So the old TV needs something to go with it like a NUC i know there is cheaper options then the NUC. But the good old LG Will now be used as a monitor for browsing the web watching 720 films and using KODI exc. Main reason for a NUC is mainly the options you can do on them then any other devices

P.S was looking at the Gigabyte Brix. Would it be better with windows or linux £250-£300 budget

Im sorry not clued up with an awful lot of knowledge with these things lol. wouldn't mind been able to stream me films exc from my main pc. want something thats powerful enough to last few years as a HTPC
