Please spec me a z97 for sli

OK looking for a z97 Mobo for sli with two MSI Lightnings , the cards are on the thicker side and with the mobo I'm using now there is hardly any space between the cards , I can just ...get my finger between the two .

I believe the Gigabyte Z97 Gaming GT has a three slot gap between the cards. It says on their website that when using a pair of cards to use slots pci-e16x-1 and pci-e16x-2 which are the top and third slots on the board. I think it uses a PLX chip though.

Yes, on pages 7-8 of the manual it has the board schematic. It does indeed use a PLX chip, if that matters.

Yeah after thinking about it....I'm not gonna pay that much just so I can run sli with an extra inch of space

Asus z97 pro or pro gamer have better spacing than the hero and cost a bit less.
