OcUK spexperts, I need your help!
I'm going to be building a new pc in a few weeks. Normally I'm happy enough to put a spec together for my own gaming builds, but the gf also wants to use this computer for video editing which is where I'm a bit lost (hex core? hyper-threading? moar RAM??).
So we're looking to spend £750 (give or take a hundred either way) on a suitable CPU, mobo, RAM and CPU cooler, but I need the following taken into consideration;
I have everything else needed to get the rig up and running immediately (so she has it ready for college use) and then I'll be adding a more powerful graphics card or two in Nov/Dec. So please spec me up, and thanks for reading!

- I'm happy to overclock (though not to expert, high end levels).
- Despite overclocking, we'd still prefer as quiet a CPU cooler as possible
- I already have an X-fi sound card that I want to use, so the mobo needs to be able to accomodate it, and potentially dual GPUs in the future.
