Hey guys,

I'm thinking about upgrading my PC a bit more i've got around £250-300 to spend!

What would you guys upgrade/add in to my PC? (Specs in sig)

I need a decent CPU cooler as currently I have a crappy one so something to keep my CPU when overclocked to around 3.6Ghz hopefully.

I was thinking about:

Sapphire 5770 VaporX (so Crossfire my other 5770)
Asus D2X soundcard
Noctua Dual Radiator DH-14 CPU cooler.

Cheers guys,

Kurt

personally, id just save the money and continue doing so an wait for the next gen of 6 core cpus to come and then do a full upgrade :)

Yeh but i've only just upgraded haha. I was orginally only going to get a PC to work on but now I use it all the time, for games such as Bad Company 2 and a bit of FSX.

I will probably wait until the black edition 1095T comes out before I upgrade my CPU.

5770 and a 60gb SSD.

Do check that your board does proper 2X 8crossfire.

don't waste money on a high end soundcard unless you got fancy speakers or headphones.

Those upgrades seem fine to me IMHO. OTH, you may want to consider the Corsair H50 or the Titan Fenrir for a CPU cooler. However since you have an X4 945 which has a locked multiplier I would keep you existing cooler if the CPU is at under 55C at load.

Thanks for the quick replys guys. I would like an SSD drive but the cost way too much atm! Will be sweet when they become cheaper silent PCs will be ever nearer! Instead i've got a lovely harmonising 2 Hard drive RAID 0 haha!

Under load for a long time it will get higher than 55c. Just need a decent CPU cooler then hopefully I can get another 100Mhz or a bit more out of my CPU :)

I'm not gonna bother with that sound card anymore seems pretty pointless as it has no front panel support!

Cheers,

Kurt
