Please suggest a document management system for home use

I'm trying to find a free and cheap document management system that will install onto Windows. I have tried a few demos but they are client based and do not run in Internet Explorer.
I want to be able to access via IE so I can access it remotely via one of my static IP addresses.

Any suggestions please? I could stretch to £100.
