Please suggest an upgrade from a Amd Am4 3700x 8 core?

Hi I have a Auros 570x elite gigabyte mobo and on it I currently run a 3700x Ryzen 5 8 core I have also a 6800xt Amd GPU
In preparation for starfield I wanted to upgrade the CPU, what would be the best option if I want to.keep this mobo I will be playing at 1440p

I wouldn't bother until the game is out and we know if it will care, but the best gaming CPU on AM4 is 5800X3D.

This seems like an unnecessary move. Just wait until the game is out and see how it runs with your current system. Chances are, it'll run really well.
Your main issue will be the raft of bugs the game will no doubt have at launch.

I moved from a 3700X to a 5800X3D, nice improvement. Even if not for this game it would keep you going for years with the odd GPU upgrade.

Seem a bit expensive right now, I'd be waiting for Black Friday or a similar deal.
Recommended CPU for Starfield is 3600X so you should be fine with what you have.
