Right I had a new install of XP MCE 2005 working ok, and one night it was shut down without a problem, the next it wouldnt display any video at all through mp11, real or quicktime.

Sound is ok via online and local mp3's

Tried doing a restore to when I know it was working, but that hasnt worked.

I have also done a complete windows update including non - crucial items as well as re installing mp11 (beta 2) and CyberLink PowerDvd

I am guessing its some kind of encoder/decoder thats missing but for the life of me I cant work out what - I have also done a driver cleaner and re-install of Cat 6.9 beta

Any ideas ...... or am I just being stupid and missing something obvious

audio is ok no matter what the format so I dont think this is an issue - can audio settings affect display of video?

Only one screen enabled so its got nothing to do with a second screen (I know there are two in my sig but due to crossfire I cant use one at all)

sorry title was meant to say Decoding, but it wouldnt let me edit it

its any dvd or internet movie that I get the sound but no picture, and any plug-in ( ie mp11 or quicktime) crashes both IE and firefox

I dont have a tv - its just a dell monitor

installed codec bundle and restarted however it didnt change anything

disabling 3d acceleration is now enabling me to watch dvd's etc, but its pretty awful - movement isnt smooth at all etc

Also it only works through classic media player -nstalled at the same time as the codec bundle (sound is also pretty low compared to how its meant to be)
