Soldato
Arrived back in the UK yesterday after a weeks snowboarding in Colorado.
We had parked our car off terminal and got a minibus to the carpark.
Amongst the others waiting for the bus were an old couple. I guess they were about between 50 and 60, so not hugely old.
When the minibus arrived me and Sharon just got on - our luggage is still in US, but that's a wholey different thread.
The old people did the same.
The other folk started loading their stuff in the back.
When everyone was on the bus, the driver started up and got ready to leave. The old couple said "excuse me, those are our bags over there" pointing to four suitcases next to the bus, on the pavement.
They had just left them there and expected the driver to get out and load them up for them.
The driver did get out but wasn't happy, quite expectedly.
While he was out, loading their bags, which I understand isn;t actually his job, the doddery old woman says "tsk, welcome back to England, home of the foreigners"!
I couldn't believe it. What an ignorant ****. Of all places to say that, at an airport! She's just got back from a "foreign" country!
Quite rightly, my girlfriend went mad at the woman in the bus, in front of all the other passengers, and put the silly cow in her place.
No real reason for this post. It just annoyed me.
To quote Austin Powers: There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch!
