Looking at trying something a little different in the world of plectrums. Primary needs are for lead - not shredding, for jazz/blues and post-rock styles.

I normally use:
1.0mm Tortex Standard (Blue)
1.14mm Delrin 500 (Light Pink)

I find the Delrins suit me great; soft attack, grippy and doesn't wear down, but I've just lost my last. I like the Tortex when I'm after a harder-edged and scrappy sound and find around 1mm, and that shape, the most versatile.

Got a Stubby (how much difference between the small/med/big?) on the list as I quite liked it the last time I used it (for bass), and the Ultex look quite interesting too.

Considering I've rarely swayed away from Jim Dunlop picks, are there any hidden treasures from other brands worth checking out? How do you pick yours? ;)

C'mon Engerland!

I've found the raised lettering that Nylon picks feature a little uncomfortable to use compared to a smooth finish like the Tortex; nice picks, but it's something that puts me off using them.
