Plex 3D through Apple tv

Hi just looking to confirm it can work, I can play my humax dvr and Panasonic Blu-ray through my denon 4500 AVR onto my Epson tw9300 projector and the 3D menu is shown, try Plex on the Apple TV and the menu is greyed out, not even to have 2D-3D option. Anyone have this working ?

The only way I've got 3D to play is via a old PC running Windows 10 and older Nvidia driver...I've tried a Raspberry PI3 and Shield (I know the Shield doesn't support SBS 3D) but the Raspberry PI3 is supposed to but I've had no luck...might be specific to my Projector...be interested to know if you find a solution as 3D on the big screen is great!
