any ideas? lol

I'm trying to migrate a plex server from Windows over to Linux....can set it up in Windows in under 5mins yet I've been struggling all morning on linux.

The issue is that plex won't see my second HDD. I can see it on the desktop, and can browse the media but within Plex it's a no go.

Looking online there's loads of different advice, some people say to run plex as the main user, then another person says not to do that as it's a security risk??? Someone says to edit the fstub file and create a mount point, tried that exact command which then stopped the os from booting haha!

Does anyone know how to get it working properly please?

Sounds like maybe a permissions problem / fstab, there is a guide here for jelltyfin which probably has a similar setup -

Big thanks for this. Was going to create my own thread. But found this.

My issue was Ubuntu Plex server going headless.

However I had a remaining issue Plex wouldn't see the drive on boot, all I had to do was open the folder.

Got it mounted properly and it works now. Spot on cheers !
