Fist off, this may be a very silly question but I would rather be ask and get slapet then not ask and kill my system.

I have been told that the full plexi cases and very bad for your system because in a normal case the motherboard and outher components earth themselves throw the metal case, in the same why your told to touch the case before touching components to stock static killing stuff

Any way wanted to ask before buying a mini plexi case

The components should be fine. There's a theoretical risk of electrical interference (transmitted or received) but it probably isn't worth worrying about.

Hopefully it's something tasteful, and not one of those completely transparent dust traps that were briefly popular a few years back.

It's a custom. I can't find a case that's just the right size for the gap on my desk so I am going to make one. I want to use plexi because I have seen it used before, it's easy to work with and it comes in as many colours as you can think of

But I can 100% tell you it will not be one of the eBay plexi crap case

You'll be earthed through the PSU, so don't worry about that.

I used to love the clear UV Akasa cases you used to get (this was getting on for 10 years ago, so don't judge me okay!)... then I saw one with compenents in and thought again :p
