pls can someone help!

Hi All,

Please please help!

I have my pc in my lounge, which up until last week connected flawlessly to my sky router. However all of a sudden the internet would drop, by drop I mean I can go on to two websites (or so) then the net hangs... Im still connected to my router and it says "internet access" but I can assure you it doesnt work, it wont even load google. The net seems to connect then drop over time.

Ive bought a new netgear wireless adapter and also reformatted. I have tried both adapters in different USB ports but no luck.

I know the net works as my laptop and iphone can connect.

Any ideas guys? Im starting to think I need a new mobo....

tried connecting via a cable to rule out wireless problems and then you can narrow it down...

sounds like you may have malware issues, run a scan and see if anything pops up

This. Then check your internet security settings, see weather there are any changes. You can contact Sky to see if there are any issues at their end.

Ive reformatted though so im guessin i cant have a Virus? Sky says everythings fine :-(

do you have to press a button on the router to allow it to connect via wireless?
can you even see the router/modem?
correct encryption key?

please post some more details, difficult to diagnose without them....I can then run through some stuff and you'll be up and running!
