good morning.

this is my set up at the moment

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+
Foxconn 6150M2MA-KRS2H Micro ATX
OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Kit
OCZ Platinum Revision 2 XTC 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Series

Just got into Movie making with my home movies and my little boy is now getting into COD modern warfare 1 and is getting me hooked aswell.

We play at low everything to get it ticking over nicely however i am sure we are missing out on some lovely details and textures etc.

Just wondering with little expense if there was something we could add/upgrade to give us a little more visual pleasure and a bit of zip around the game. (iam assuming GFX card coz we only run the onboard)

anyway you guys are the experts so will leave it to you..many thanks. ;)
 
yeah a new gfx card is obv choice, checked and board has a PCI-E slot so so long as youre not using it for anything else you can just drop in a new card, that should be a good boost, a 5770 for latest decent mid range card, about 120 quid
depending on budget you could look at new mobo and cpu too (mobo wont take the newer cpu's) which would be about another 150, depends on what you define as little expense really
 
first Q we should ask ?

i notice the M/board in the OP is a Foxconn 6150M2MA-KRS2H Micro ATX

does this mean the case/tower is a micro atx box or does the OP have a full atx case ???

reason being if it is a SFF case they need a low profile card with backing plate to match !!

correct me if iam wrong plz ;)

btw the spec says "HMDI" but picture shows different!

if? its HDMI does this mean if i stick HDMI lead from it to my TV then it will display whotever is on my PC? am sure i am wrong so look forward to hearing from you all.

sorry also what does it mean when it says that it has 7.1 surround support?

7.1 surround support is the number of speakers ..

front left (1)
front right (2)
centre (3)
side left (4)
side right (5)
rear left (6)
rear right (7)
(.)
Subwoofer (1)

an there`s 5.1 an 6.1 aswell , also known as 3/2.1 or 3/3.1 an 3/4.1

it tells u the postions of the speakers or where they should be ;)
