Anyone have a clue as to why when I plug my Android phone into the PC via USB and navigate to the Ringtone and Wallpaper folders they show up as being empty? Hell, the folder called 'Wallpaper' which is on my phone doesn't even show up at all on Windows Explorer. Yet if I navigate to them on the phone they show as being present and correct and with all the files intact and working.

Running Windows 10 64-bit and the phone is a Smart Ultra 6.

Any ideas?

Is the phone unlocked ? I mean the screen is on.
My misses Smart ultra has to be unlocked to access the files.

You should get a drop notification thingy which you have to select every time you connect otherwise the files won't show (I have the same phone). With Lollipop it wasn't necessary but with Marshmallow, it is...

Took a while, but I've sorted that out and now I have the notification showing but now, despite being set to MTP, it won't allow me to transfer any files from the PC to the phone. I drag a small mp3 file across and the copying dialogue box opens and the green bar goes all the way across, but then it just sits there and does nothing. Same thing happens if I try to cut 'n' paste the file across too.

What the **** is going on with this, it was fine up until a few days ago. Nothing has been added, taken away or updated at all. It just started playing up.

In device manager with the phone connected/unlocked/MTP mode does your phone show correctly?

Maybe a driver issue.
It's very strange. Got mine other halves plugged in now trying to get your error.
