Not sure if this is the correct forum, but I can't see one more relevant.

I'm looking for some kind of lead that will convert a UK 3-pin plug into the type of connector that will go into the back of a UPS (like this: http://www.apcmedia.com/resource/images/500/Back/D2B6E277-5056-9170-D3D877A0C4FA3C0D_pr.jpg).

Replacing the lead from the device is not an option, so I guess I need some kind of lead that has a UK plug socket on one end and the relevant UPS connector on the other end.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks :)

edit: after a bit of digging around it seems APC sell them. Quite expensive though

Wire up multi-way mains block to a female IEC, that's what I've done for the UPS. Connected low power devices into the mains block.

Thats what i did. I took a normal 4 way mains block, cut off the UK 13A plug, and wired on a male IEC 10A plug. It powers my Router, switch and cable modem.

Most APC's come with a plug...Well, all the ones we do at work do.

Just type APC power lead into Google, some on the first link.

I'm getting confused here. To me, this is a MALE IEC connector:

That's what I have on my 4-way block, so i can plug normal 13A UK mains plugs into my UPS.

A female is the one you find on the end of a kettle lead.

Am I wrong?
