Plugging in case fans!

I know this should be simple, but I'm struggling!

The rear case fan has a 3terminal plug that connects into another a 2pin plug and then has what appears to be two molex type ends. Am I suppose to plug this fan directly into the PSU, or remove that part and plug the 3terminal plug directly into the motherboard?

On the front of the case is another fan, but this doesn't use molex, it seems to connect from the fan and from a speed control switch on the back into the same plug and then leaves me with a 2pin plug which I can't connect to anything because the motherboard uses 4pins (although seems ok with the 3terminal plugs).

Any ideas?

Here is the image if you can help. This is for the front case fan which includes an LED I believe too. The left molex comes from the rear of the case where there is a low/high speed switch. The middle is the standard 3terminal plug and the right also comes from the speed switch on the back, with the plug at the back of that cable connecting to the 3terminal plug, whilst the front simply has 2pins on it. Any ideas where to connect so I can run the LED and speed?

Just sure about the plug configuration so just removed the link to the speed fan for now and using the 3terminal plug. LED light works too
